Dear Jeff, I love Rescue Me! I found my precious Heidi on your site. I wanted a companion as well as a guard dog. She is great company, however, as far as a watch dog, if a bad guy broke in she just may lick him to death!!! She is such a happy dog. She smiles all the time and wags her tail so hard her whole body wiggle waggles! Heidi loves her new life and her new found freedom. She had spent her entire life chained up in someones backyard wearing a shock collar. The woman I got her from lives on ten acres and she told me her son was going to take the dog to the woods and shoot her! She had not been spayed and looks as though she has had several litters. I think the only reason they had her was to make money selling her puppies. They had no idea what a wonderful dog she is. She is so sweet, intelligent, and she has the cutest personality. They called her Abby, but I didn't want her to associate that name with her former life. So, she is now my sweet Heidi. My son, Jeff, and I call her Hurricane Heidi because she gets so excited she spins around and around and around!!!! I have had Heidi since Oct. 2, 2012. I have not unsubscribed because I love your site. I enjoy reading the success stories, and I still look at the Oklahoma German Shepherds in need. I wish I could afford to rescue every one of them. Especially the precious ones on death row. I pray for them every day. Thank you so much, not only for the opportunity to find my sweet Heidi, but also, for the $500 Amazon Gift Card. Hi Jeff, My cat, Joe, passed away in December of this past year after sixteen years. I have looking for a cat to adopt ever since on your website. Your website has been a catharsis for me in looking for another pet. It has taken months for me to be ready to adopt. I want a needing cat and not one from a breeder.
