|Rescue Me ID: 15-03-11-00016Scooter (male)|
Looking to add a little joy to your life? Look no further, you won't be able to contain your giggles with Scooter, this boy is a big bucket of joy in a little package! Scooter is a bit timid of other dogs, he would do well with another passive, playful canine. He absolutely LOVES cats and he absolutely loves to play! Scooter is a boy full of energy and would do well in a home with older children, empty nesters or a single person looking for a companion able to keep up with a busy lifestyle. If you believe Scooter is the ray of sunshine you are looking for after a long dark winter, please visit our website at www.littleorphansanimalrescue.org to submit an online adoption application. From the left side of the Home page, click on 'Forms/Applications.' Scooters is 11 months old and approximately 15lbs, his adoption fee is $300. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, on heartworm preventative, microchipped and ready to join his forever home! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-02-22-00440Alfie (male)|
Alfie is the sweetest, happiest little dog! He has very soft fur, he is very cuddly and loving, and he is fairly quiet for a young dog. He gets along well with other dogs (and, although we don't have a cat, we're guessing he would be fine with kitties). Our best guess-based on his size and weight (15 lbs.) is that Alfie is a Chihuahua mix. As you can see, he has one ear that flops over and one that stands up straight. Isn't this the cutest thing ever? Alfie is a little less than a year of age and is very well behaved, although he is still a 'puppy' when it comes to chewing. He seems to be pretty well house trained, but would need to be taken out on a regular basis to polish up his pottying skills. He would also benefit from enrolling in puppy obedience classes so that he can learn a few basic skills. Because he's fairly small, a young child might inadvertently injure him, so--if a family is interested in adopting him--a family with older children would be the best fit for him. He would enjoy a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) and possibly a doggie playmate. Alfie would prefer not to be a latchkey dog, so an adopter who works out of his/her home, works part time, or is retired would be best for him. Alfie is completely vetted (he's been neutered, immunized, checked for intestinal parasites, and microchipped) and his adoption fee is $275. If you feel Alfie would be a good fit for you (and vice versa) please e-mail his foster mom at: email@example.com and tell her a little about your daily schedule, other family members, if you have a fenced yard and/or other pets, etc. Then, if we all agree that Alfie might be the right dog for you, Alfie's foster mom will send you an adoption application to fill out-after which time a 'meet and greet' can be arranged. Please refer to our Petfinder home page to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Again, please read the information on our home page before contacting us. (Less)

Sissy and Sara Jane are a mother and daughter, 7 and 8 years old, and 8 lbs. They are currently in a foster home in Missouri, but looking for their forever home. |Animal ID: 1480Alonzo (male)|
Alonzo is so full of personality that it's hard to convey in pictures, much less in words. This 4- to 5-year old 10-lb. Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix is quirky and smart. He loves his toys and likes to snuggle. It can take him a while to warm up to new people, but when he does, he owns you! He is house trained, going to the door to let you know he needs to go outside, and he is coming along well learning basic obedience commands. Alonzo gets along with other dogs, but because he doesn't like to share his toys (resource guarding) and can be possessive of his people, he would be better as an only dog. For the same reason, he should be in a home without young children. Because Alonzo knows that his quirky, endearing nature has to be experienced firsthand, he urges you to 'cut to the chase' and apply for him, but if you insist on mulling it over, then check out his awesome online photo album at http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/alonzo . ========================================================================================If you are interested in adopting this dog, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org/adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application. |Animal ID: 0886Agnes (female)|
Meet Agnes! This irresistible cutie is an 8-year-old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is big on personality. She enjoys going for car rides and walks, but most of all she enjoys chasing a ball. This funny girl will toss her toy around, chase it, roll on it, and then play bow and dare you to take it. After a good play, Agnes is very affectionate and loving, wanting to share herself with just one person at a time before moving on to cuddle with another human friend. She is crate trained and her house training is reliable as long as she is kept on a schedule and fed a special diet to keep her bladder healthy. At 12 lbs., Agnes is somewhat overweight, but she's not lazy; a couple of walks a day will help her slim right down. Since Agnes will compete for attention and affection, guards her food and toys, and will use her mouth to let the competition know she means business, she needs to be in a home where she's the only dog and there are no small children. If you are looking for a happy, funny, sweet girl to brighten your life, Agnes would love to meet you! To see more pics of Agnes, go to http://imageevent.com/newrattitude/agnes . ==============================================If you are interested in adopting Agnes, please go to New Rattitude's website at http://www.NewRattitude.org.adopt.htm, where there is detailed information and a link to our adoption application. |PIease Read Before Adopting a Chihuahua in Wisconsin|
Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
