Geoffrey is a year old Deer Legged Chihuahua who is black and white. He is very intelligent and well mannered. He will bark when first introduced but will warm up quickly to people and other animals. Geoffrey came to me from my daughter who is now in college and is no longer able to keep him. I would like to find him a good home because he is a loving and affectionate companion. This little guy came to us all the way from Texas, where we found him in an overcrowded animal control facility.He was going to be euthanized to make room for additional dogs coming in, and we rescued him just in the nick of time. Shorty weighs about 9 lbs, he is a year and a half old, and he is trained to use pee pads, Shorty is a little dubious about new people, but once he gets to know someone he is very loving and happy and playful, as you can see in the video taken with his foster 'dad'. Shorty enjoys being held and cuddled, and he would make a great couch potato or foot warmer under the covers on a cold winter night! Shorty is good ... (Read More)with other dogs and with cats, and he is in excellent health. Shorty would love to have a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing). Also, we would prefer that they go to an adoptive home in which there are no small children, since Shorty is so tiny that he could easily be inadvertently injured by a child. He has been neutered, immunized, tested for heartworms, microchipped, and wormed. His adoption fee is $275. Agnes has the dance moves, the sparkle, and the vivaciousness of a true Diva Princess! But like so many cool and confident divas, her cocky little attitude often gets her into trouble. Agnes is an irresistibly cute 7-year old Rat Terrier/Chihuahua mix who is big on personality and loves to be the center of attention but is particular about who gets to pat her. She will bond very tightly with her chosen human, giving and receiving lots of cuddly, loving affection. But she doesn't want to have to share her person or the spotlight, and would definitely prefer to shine as the only dog in an adults-only home. Someone able to appreciate the ... (Read More)sassiness this party girl brings to everyday life will be adored and entertained by her antics. She enjoys going for car rides and walks, but most of all she enjoys chasing a ball. She will toss her toy around, chase it, roll on it, and then play bow and dare you to take it. When play time is over, she'll turn on the charm and beg for cuddles. At 12 lbs., Agnes is somewhat overweight but a couple of walks a day will help her slim right down. She is crate trained and house trained on a set schedule, but her medical history includes some urinary problems that have kept her from being 100% reliable. Since she does very well with loving structure, a home where she could be one-on-one with her person will give her the opportunity to cultivate good habits and gleam like the true princess she is. Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Wisconsin if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
