Chihuahua    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Bonded pair, chocolate colored in red seater is Hershey, make, and caramel colored is Peanut, female, spayed. Very sweet, loving, snuggly little dogs. I rehomed them somewhat emergently from my aunt when she as diagnosed with lung cancer, but I work 12 hour days and these littles are a little neglected. They're great with my daughter and my cats, housebroken, and very easy to love. It was a tough decision to decide to try to rehome them (my daughter and I both cried) but they deserve better than what we are providing. Must go together - they are inseparable (and hilarious when they decide to 'fight' with each other - more like growl and run ... (Read More)circles around the other.). Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Sweet Shyla really is a shy little girl. She not quite 1yr old, weighs about 12lbs. She recently weaned her puppies and now she's ready for a home of her own. She gets along great with other dogs and would do best with an easy going, well tempered dog in the home to help her build confidence and trust. She is very insecure with new people until she gets to know them... then she is a complete love bug and very loyal She will do best in a gentle home with calm energy.     YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!****** Sydney is an adorable terrier mix puppy looking for a forever home. She and her siblings, along with their mama Allie, came from a high-kill shelter in California where they needed out because they were in danger of being euthanized. Sydney is in a foster home with her mama but she is old enough to go to her forever family. She is full of energy, loving and a well adjusted little pup. Sydney knows to go potty on potty pads and of course will need help with potty training. ... (Read More)She has not yet been on a leash. She is currently eating Halo wet and dry food and she loves a good treat. As for what type of breed she is, her mama is a terrier mix and we will never know who dad was. Sydney is up to date on puppy shots, microchipped, dewormed, and has been tested for giardia. Please only apply for this sweet little love if you are willing to work on potty training and be patient with her. She is a life long commitment and must go to a forever home where there is another dog present and people are at home. Like most dogs in our rescue, Sydney will need work on house and obedience training. Sydney has an adoption fee of $625. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Please do not contact us to come look at a dog We will contact you once we have received and reviewed your completed application. A Home visit as well as a reference check MUST be completed before a meet & greet can be scheduled. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-11-28-00437Lady and The Tramp (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

    * Please apply online at www.6dogrees.com by doing so you will get a response quicker. Meet Lady and The Tramp - they have an incredible love story and we are in search of a home to provide them a fairy-tale, happy ending! Tramp is a teeny-tiny 8-years' young neutered male Chihuahua, just 4-pounds. Lady is a 6-year old spayed female Chihuahua, and weighs 5.5 pounds. They are a bonded pare and adore each other. Their adoption fee is $475 for the pair. Both Tramp and Lady are very loving, and delight in a soft lap to snuggle on or a blanket to crawl under. They like to quietly play, and prance around together or with play other dogs. ... (Read More)They sleep soundly through the night, under the covers, close by their person and are very attentive to their owner. Tramp and Lady are very well adjusted and enjoy people, dogs, and cats alike. The love to go on car rides, keep your lap warm while you are working at your computer, and keep you company around the house. Both dogs were underweight and thin when they arrived to the rescue. They are on their way to a healthy weight, but still have a ways to go. They both like to eat, which makes this situation easy to deal with. They are smooth coat chihuahua's and are 'wash and wear' dogs. They will need basic grooming every 6 weeks to keep them in tip-top shape (trim nails, etc.). They will need a grain-free diet to keep them healthy and their coats beautiful. I will require a fully fenced yard so that I do not run away. Fences help protect me and establish boundaries. I am being fostered with dogs my size, and would love a home that has a dog that needs a friend - this will ensure that I have enough exercise to burn off my excessive energy. Rescue dogs require routine and stability. Please be prepared for a lifelong commitment before applying. Ideally, they should be pottied every 4 to 5 hours. Dogs cannot be left alone for 8 hours per day. Due to their small size 4 pounds and 5-pounds, they will need an adult home or a home with small-dog savvy children that are respectful of size and boundaries of petite dogs. Applications accepted online at 6dogrees.com. The adoption fee is $475. Our adoption fee will go to save other dogs at the high-kill shelters in California and is fully tax deduction (my Rescue, 6dogrees Rescue is a 501c3), and will provide a donation receipt. We are in the Seattle area, and if interested please submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review and get back to you promptly. An adoption application must be filled out for all inquiries and prior to a meet and greet. We will review and respond to applications, not all applications will necessarily be approved for a meet and greet. Home check prior to adoption approval. Adoption fee include: Neuter or spay, microchip, current vaccines (DA2PP, rabies, bordatella) de-worming, flea treatment, and heart worm testing. We also include a 15 minute training consultation with a certified behaviorist trainer and 30-day pet insurance. 6dogrees Rescue is a small passionate Seattle based 501c3 non-profit charitable organization that focuses on saving the lives of urgent dogs on their last hours at high kill shelters from the state of California where pet overpopulation is at epidemic levels and kill shelters are the norm. 100% of all fees collected are spent on the dogs, we 'Save it forward'; so each time a dog is adopted we are allowed to save another. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and are in place to allow thorough care for the dogs. 6dogrees adoptions are limited to residents of Washington State. (Less)

Thanks for your cooperation!****** Fluffy Cocopuff is about 7 years old and 5.5lbs of chi-mix sweetness. We were at the shelter to rescue some dogs that needed out, and while we were there the shelter asked us if we would please take Cocopuff, that he was the sweetest little dog, they wanted him to get out and find a home so bad, and of course we couldn't say no. Cocopuff loves loves people, if you are looking for a dog that loves affection and loves to lay around and be cuddled, Cocopuff is your man. He ... (Read More)gets along great with other dogs as well. Cocopuff got a dental(with multiple extractions), he is up to date on his shots, He also has gotten multiple x-ray's and the blood work to accompany those because it was discovered he had high liver values, which we treated those with liver medication and supplements. After his treatments, his liver values returned to normal, and now he is a very healthy little guy. He is so loving and ready to find his forever home! Like most dogs in our rescue, Cocopuff will need work on potty training. Cocopuff has an adoption fee of $500 __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. (Less)

Animal ID: Star (Kennewick WA)Star (Kennewick WA) (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Unlike her pal, Ringo, Star would not be happy being a super social butterfly. Star is clearly part chihuahua, but she also has long, long legs for a classic chi, so we guess that she is either mixed with an Italian greyhound, or is a deer-legged Chihuahua. This 2 year-old pup is sweet as honey and would prefer life to move forward as a lap dog. She is working on walking well on a leash, is easy to train and is housebroken. She is up to date on shots and spayed. While we cannot speak to her experience with cats, or chickens, or ferrets, we know that Star does NOT enjoy children. This pint-sized love bug needs a quiet home where she can be ... (Read More)shown that the world is an okay place. Star does not bark and shows very little emotion. She will not defend herself when attacked/ bullied by another dog. Something has happened to this little girl and she needs the space and time and quiet (and the lap) to get back a life where she feels comfortable zoning out in a sunbeam and burrowing in blankets with her person nearby. Star currently resides at our Washington rescue. Adoption fee is $350.00. Transport may be available to approved adopters. Contact Journeyhomerescue@outlook.com. (Less)

Animal ID: Ringo (Kennewick WA)Ringo (Kennewick WA) (male)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Ringo, is a typical 'little man' dog. He has buddies at his foster and they run around together and play all day. He gets along great with other small dogs and if there were a small dog play group in his future, he would not mind. :) . He loves people, belly rubs, zoning out in a sun beam and burrowing in blankets or pillows. If he is missing, you might also check the nearest clothes hamper. And speaking of missing, we are very serious when we say this delightful little boy is a HOUDINI, a master escape artist and a jail breaker. If there's a space in or under the fence, he's gone. If the kennel lid is not on correctly, he is gone. If the ... (Read More)babysitter leaves the door open to get the last load of groceries from the car? He's gone. That's clear, right? It's clear that Ringo is a 1 year old chihuahua, but he has long, long legs for a classic chi, so we guess that he is either mixed with an Italian greyhound, or he is a deer-legged Chihuahua/ Min Pin. Either way, he is really stunning, and he can motor! He is working on walking well on a leash. He is eay to train and housebroken. He is up to date on his shots and neutered (sorry, dude.) While we cannot speak to his experience with cats, or chickens, or ferrets, we know that Ringo does NOT get along well with young children. Ringo needs a household with children over 13 and very dog respectful. Ringo is clever and funny and waiting for a home to call his own, or share with other small dogs, but not small people. Ringo currently resides at our Washington rescue. Adoption fee is $350.00. Transport may be available to approved adopters. Contact Journeyhomerescue@outlook.com. (Less)

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Georgette almost slipped through the cracks at a high kill shelter in California and her life hung in the balance. This adorable 6-7 year old, 10lb little lady is super sweet and very calm. It's so sad to think that she almost lost her life. Here she is now looking for her forever home! We got her spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and a dental cleaning. She had one tooth removed and tested negative for heart worm. Little Miss Georgette is doing so well in her ... PIease Read Before Adopting a Chihuahua in Washington
Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
