Chihuahua Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Max was being sold in a flea market newspaper in Texas. One of our volunteers went to see him and worried that he was not well and would end up in the wrong hands. She bought him, (counter to her policies) and asked us if we would take him. We did. He was taken to a private vet clinic and treated for kennel cough and dehydration then privately fostered until well enough to travel. Max is only 9 pounds, but what a bundle of personality he is. This pup would do great in any home that is safe for a 'little' He is only 7 months old. Application is on our website;vermontenglishbulldogrescue.com

PIease Read Before Adopting a Chihuahua in Vermont
Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Vermont if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
