Im writing for help with my jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix male dog. He is about 3 years old and looks like a wire hair jack. I got him from a friend of mine whos owner went to jail for drugs. Can we just tell you how much we LOVE LOVE LOVE CJ. CJ actually came to us back in March and now that we have spent some time with him over the months, we really know what his ideal home is. CJ had a family before being surrendered to a kill shelter. He was the only dog and was not socialized with anyone other than his family. They became too elderly to care for him and unfortunately made the call to dump him in a shelter. He is a 6 year old chihuahua who weighs around 12 LB. He is house trained. His favorite thing in the world is freshly laundered sheets - he loves to zoom around on his back on them. Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
