Chihuahua

Compatibility: Good with Most Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed

This girl is precious and adorable! She looks to be full bred, she is brown and tan. She is very loving, smart and playful. She loves to cuddle. She loves to snuggle with a blanket covering her. She likes sitting in my lap and let's me hold her like a baby. She had a bath in the bathtub and she was fine. She walks well on a leash but is not completely housebroken. She is a little leary of men at first but it takes her time to warm up to them. She is a good watch dog too. She is a happy girl and wags her tail a lot. She loves to play and she loves a lot of attention.

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

RIKKI is an intuitive, healing dog. He had been thrown out of a car and came to us with a broken leg and abrasions. Despite his early shortcomings, he has a terrific disposition - he is kind and considerate with dogs, cats and humans. He has helped other fosters with various issues - one had a wound ear, one was deaf, another a wounded leg, etc - he assists them in whatever way he can. We just love this little guy! He is a tall chihuahua, probably some greyhound - he's the size of a cat - a Greyhuahua. From the moment he wakes up, cuddled in your arms under the covers - until he drifts off to dreamland again at night - he is happy and ... (Read More)playful and good-natured. He's wonderful with the cats, makes friends with large/small/old/young dogs. He can run super fast in the yard. He is very socially smart. He is approx. 11 months old, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Please contact Desert Paws Animal Rescue 505-702-9396 DesertPawsNM@live.com (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Chihuahua in New Mexico
Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in New Mexico if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
