Health: Neutered

Reggie was left on my doorstep! He's sweet as can be and loves cuddling and playing with my 5 year old and our cat. He gets along well with our lab. I am tempted to keep him myself because he is such a sweetheart but he requires more time than I can give him. He needs some help with his potty training. He's been with me for a few weeks now and I can't find his owner and don't want to bring him to the humane society.

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Senior

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello, my name is Katie and I am a princess! I am 11 years old and only have one tooth left in my mouth which causes my tongue to always hang out. Everyone who meets me thinks it's pretty funny. I go potty really well outside (even in these awful Minnesota winters) and I also use puppy pads really well in the house because I can't hold my bladder TOO long anymore. I'm a bit of a diva who wants all of your attention and to cuddle up with you on the couch or in bed. I don't have patience for crazy, playful pups anymore so if you have other pets, please make sure they will be really mellow with me! Small children also make me.nervous so I need ... (Read More)older or no kids In my future home please. I have a sassy little attitude and will tell them if they are bothering me but don't worry, I don't try to hurt them! I don't have teeth anyways! Don't let my sometimes sassy attitude make me sound like a bad dog though. I LOVE to cuddle, eat my canned food, sleep under the covers next to you and I get really excited to see people once I know them. I am a sweet, mellow girl looking for the right home where I can just lounge on the couch or bed all day! If you are interested in adopting Katie, please go to our website at http://www.aohrescue.org and fill out our dog application. (Less)

PIease Read Before Adopting a Chihuahua in Minnesota
Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Minnesota if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
