Got from humane society as a puppy. Estimated birthdate 9-10-04. I am fostering for the family who now has their first child who is turning two...too much 'chasing/annoying' dog. I can't believe I am typing this as Willie is the only dog I have ever owned and he is a very important member of our family. He is a 7 year old adult male purebred Chihuahua. He weighs in about 8lbs and is slightly overweight. He is a very special dog but unfortunately is not a good fit for our growing family. We have a two year old son that is very active and he has pursued Willie several times and now Willie has bitten and acted aggressively towards him. We also have another baby on the way in 3 months so I have to find a new permanent home for Willie. He has been a joy to have as a pet and I am sick over this. It is not fair to ... (Read More)keep the dog and isolate him from our family so I have to find him a home now. We live in Troy, MI. We have had Willie since he was about 8 weeks old. I believe I have all his papers from when we purchased him from a breeder. Willie has grown up with one female cat and recently spent the last couple of years with one other adult male Chihuahua. He is a real sweetheart once he gets to know you and is capable of an amazing amount of affection and expression. He needs to be in a home with adults that can walk him regularly and spoil him like we have. He is a wonderful companion and very fun to be around. I am super busy with work and family so I am not posting my phone number as I do not know what type of response to expect. He does pretty well with going to the bathroom outside. He has also used blue pads in the house. If you are serious about providing a stable and loving home for Willie please email me. I have to feel comfortable with the new owner/family because I owe it to this little guy with a big heart. This is going to be incredibly difficult for me but I have no choice. I appreciate your help. Let me know if you think you will be a good fit and are looking for a new best friend. I will provide his bed, blanket, and favorite stuffed bear. Nugget was adopted from rescue by my mom. She passed away, and I brought him to my home so he can be adopted to someone who will have the time and love to give him that he deserves. Nugget is sweet, and VERY funny. He loves plush toys and in typical chihuahua fashion he wants to be covered with is blanket, but not to worry because he covers himself up without any assistance! Chi Chi is a very sweet girl. She originally came into from a breeder, and was adopted. three years later the family who had adopted her came into financial difficulties and so Chi Chi came back to me. Chi Chi is potty trained to go out a doggie door, or to use potty pads indoors. She is great with other dogs. She is a bit shy on first meeting, but once she warms up to you she is a loving dog. Stubby is a small black chihuahua, he was given to me from a breeder. He had been abused by a previous owner. He is very nervous and likes to be in a pet carrier. He is not house broken, previous owner threw scalding water on him when he had accidents in the house. He is very loveable and has never bitten. Wayne County Taylor, MI MAP IT!

Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
