    Pocket Pearl is a very playful, loving 9 pound pup. She is in a foster home with several dogs and her best friend is a litle Pom/ChiX. They can wrestle all day long. She loves to be in her foster mother's arms and anxiously awaits her return when she goes out. We do not adopt dogs under 20 pounds to children under eight years old. If you want a loving companion for many years this is the pup for you.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Chihuahua in Maryland
    Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
