Bella is a super sweet, high energy, playful, 1.5 year old Pom-chi, about 12#s. She's just a perfect dog! She loves everyone and is very affectionate. She's good with kids but may be best with slightly older children as she is very excitable when she plays. She'll play ball for hours! She could use some manners training, but she is just a puppy. Another high energy dog playmate would be great! She chases cats that run, but shows no aggression. Her adoption fee is $300 to cover all of her vetting. [Read About Natural Seizure Care] Jan. 2014 Belle is an affectionate cream-colored small mix, that looks very much like a Jack Russell terrier. She loves to snuggle with the owner, and leans forward to get kisses on her cheek. She will bark to alert the owners when visitors come to her home. She loves to be petted behind her ears, her chest area, and especially on her tummy. However she seems especially sensitive behind her neck (the Hackles area), and generally does not wish to be petted in that area. She gets along well with other dogs, and is fine with older children (3+ years old). Belle has epilepsy that is well-managed with medication. ... (Read More) Otherwise, she is a very healthy and active dog. Her medical records are available with her Vet. Current pet parent will share this information with new parent. Belle was rescued by current owner in June of 2009, and was told that she was 6 to 7 weeks old. Her birthday is estimated to be in April of 2009, making her 4.5 years old now. Her mother was a poodle-shitzu mix, and that her father was a Chihuahua mix. Belle was the only puppy born of this mix. The vet thinks that she has a Jack Russell build. Chihuahua Dogs can make good pets in Maryland if they match your IifestyIe. Chihuahuas are high strung, yappy, tiny dogs. Chihuahuas are loyal to the point of possessiveness and obsession with their masters. Chihuahuas are bold, high energy dogs that make wonderful companions for their owners but are suspicious of strangers. Chihuahuas are not well suited to families with children due to the dogs' defensiveness and tendency to snap when provoked. Chihuahuas need to be thoroughly socialized. Despite their small size, Chihuahuas are often aggressive with other dogs. Chihuahuas do fine living in an apartment but need plenty of daily exercise.
